FC Schalke 04 would like to sell Ozan Kabak in the summer. So far, however, the Bundesliga promoted team has not been able to find a buyer for the central defender. Now there is probably interest from Ligue 1. However, the proposed price should not satisfy the royal blues.
As “picture” reported, OGC Nice knocked at FC Schalke 04 regarding a commitment from Ozan Kabak. As a result, the French first division club even showed “great interest”.
The problem: Nice is said to only offer six million euros for the Turkish international. FC Schalke, on the other hand, should demand eight million euros plus success bonuses. The two clubs are still a long way apart.
Kabak was loaned to Norwich City last season. However, the 22-year-old was unable to leave a lasting impression in the Premier League, on the contrary.
Kabak has played just eleven games in England’s top division. To make matters worse, the former Stuttgarter suffered a thigh injury in the final spurt of the season and had to watch from the sidelines as his team was relegated to the second division.
Schalke professional Kabak probably planned as Dante’s successor
Kabak is one of the top earners at FC Schalke 04. The clammy Knappen would therefore probably like to give up the defender.
With Nice, at least one club has a concrete interest. The club from the Côte d’Azur is said to see Kabak as the successor to former Bayern star Dante.
At the age of 38, the Brazilian is in the advanced football age. So Kabak could follow in the footsteps of the former Munich player at OGC Nice.
For this to happen, however, both clubs would first have to agree. After all, the transfer window is open until the end of August. So at least there is still enough time.
