Minge’s successor found: Sobotzik will be the new sporting director at Hallesches FC

Hallesche FC has found a successor for outgoing sports director Ralf Minge. As the third division team announced on Friday, Thomas Sobotzik will take over the post on April 1st. The former 135-time Bundesliga player signed a contract with HFC until December 2025, which is valid for both the 3rd division and the regional league. “Thomas Sobotzik prevailed against several highly interesting candidates with his concept, his special wealth of experience and his personality. Our search committee consisting of members of the board and the board of directors is convinced that together with trainer Sreto Ristic he can set the course for a successful future. We welcome Thomas Sobotzik to the HFC and look forward to working together,” said Vice President Dr. Jurgen Fox.

“I’m really looking forward to this exciting task at an established club with tradition and potential. Sreto Ristic has maneuvered the HFC steamer back on course. Together we will now subordinate everything to the most important goal of staying in the league, and at the same time we will press ahead with planning for the next season. I’ve already worked successfully with the coach at two stations, we trust each other and therefore don’t need any warm-up time,” said Sobotzik. Halle is in 15th place after the 27th matchday.
