C&A Europe is strengthening its management team. Minette Bellingan has been appointed to the position of Chief Operating Officer. She has been working in her new role since October 2nd, the clothing retailer announced on Wednesday.
In the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO), she will be responsible for the areas of fulfillment, planning, sourcing and sustainability and, together with her team, will improve the efficiency of the processes. Your task will be to support the company in switching from a push to a pull business model, with the aim of becoming a “completely consumer-oriented company that can better tailor its offering to the needs of consumers can”.
“An efficient and sustainable supply chain is essential to offer our customers high-quality clothing at an affordable price,” says C&A Europe CEO Giny Boer. Minette will make a major contribution to the transformation of our company with her love for sustainability and extensive international experience in this area as well as supply chain management.”
The new COO brings more than 25 years of experience in supply chain management. For example, she has led companies in Asia, Europe and the United States and has worked in Asia for the past twelve years. Most recently, Minette served as a member of the leadership team at Coupang.com, an e-commerce company. Previously, she was Director of Global Sourcing and Private Brands at e-commerce giant Amazon, where she was responsible for product sourcing and supplier management, as well as operations, quality and compliance for all private brands and direct imports. Bellingan is also a respected scientist in the field of sustainability.
With Bellingan’s appointment, C&A’s European Leadership Team is fully and comprehensively equipped to continue to grow and make C&A Europe a modern, European omnichannel fashion retailer, the statement said.
