Mimosa Jallow ends her extensive elite sports career.

Top swimmer Mimosa Jallow says on her personal Instagram account that she is ending her career.
Jallow, 28, won two EC long course medals in his racing career. He was part of the Finnish 4×100 meter medley relay team that won bronze in London 2016. Jallow swam third in the 50 meter backstroke in Glasgow in 2018.
– So many memories! It’s time to say goodbye to professional swimming and say hello to something new, Jallow wrote in English in his publication.

Jallow made his debut in value competitions in 2012 at the long track European Championships in Hungary. During his career, Jallow also represented Finland in two Olympics, when he swam in the Rio and Tokyo Olympics.
Earlier this summer, Jallow missed the semifinals of the 50-meter backstroke and the heats of the 50-meter butterfly at the World Championships in Budapest.
Jallow is known as a backstroke specialist and has record times in backstroke, freestyle and butterfly. Jallow holds, among other things, the Finnish record for the long course 50 meter backstroke, which is 27.42.
