Milva’s evening dresses on display in Sanremo
There exhibition, set up at the Sanremo Casino during the Italian Song Festival (with the coordination of Marvi De Angelis and with the support of the Municipality and the Academy of Fine Arts of Sanremo), sees protagonists 16 precious stage dresses designed by Giorgio Armani, Gianfranco Ferrè, Gattinoni, Gai Mattiolo and Gianni Versace, worn by Milva during her dazzling career. The artist has in fact always conceived the dress as an integral part of his artistic message.
“Milva had that innate elegance that comes from intelligence, character and independence. So proud and sensual with her splendid tawny hair, authentic and theatrical, she was not the typical Armani woman, yet in her own way she was, interpreting my clothes, making them her own in a surprising way. Its unique charm and vital energy are unforgettable. I am happy that a dress she wore is part of this exhibition: for the charitable purpose and for the memory of a unique woman and artist », said Giorgio Armani.
The Cura con arte project named after Milva
Thanks to the generosity of Professor Martina Corgnati, the artist’s daughter, who donated her mother’s clothes and accessories toQualia Association, it will be possible to start the first project of ‘cure with art’ entitled, in fact, to Milva.
The project focuses on both research and application activities of the relationship between art and science. The project also provides for the identification of places in the destination territory that present characteristics capable of supporting the necessary balance between human beings and the environment, thanks to the use of art as a vehicle for care.
The Qualia non-profit associations (recipient of the donation, associationqualia.org) And MediCinema Italy (medicinema-italia.org), who have been operating in the field of neuroscience and film therapy, with the proceeds from the sale of Milva’s clothes and accessories auctioned off at the charity auction, will contribute toactivation of a network of health centers to improve the quality of life of fragile patients and their families, also through artistic experience
