Eintracht Frankfurt has hit the jackpot with the signing of Omar Marmoush. The SGE striker is said to be arousing interest in the Premier League due to his strong performances.
According to “Sport Bild”, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United are looking into Marmoush. Eintracht Frankfurt is said to internally estimate the 24-year-old’s market value at around 30 million euros.
Marmoush moved to Hesse from VfL Wolfsburg on a free transfer last summer. At the SGE, the attacker impresses as a top performer.
Marmoush has so far scored twelve goals in 25 competitive games for Eintracht Frankfurt. The Egypt international is helping to cushion the departure of offensive star Randal Kolo Muani to Paris Saint-Germain.
It is not clear from the corresponding report in “Sport Bild” whether Eintracht Frankfurt would consider selling Marmoush.
Omar Marmoush is missing from Eintracht Frankfurt
The 2022 Europa League winner had to do without the services of Marmoush in the last Bundesliga matches because he was at the Africa Cup of Nations. However, Egypt was eliminated in the round of 16 after a penalty shootout against the Democratic Republic of Congo. Marmoush will soon be traveling back to the Main.
Eintracht Frankfurt is currently in sixth place in the Bundesliga. The gap to the Champions League ranks is five points.
With his goals, Marmoush should help the SGE get back into international business. Eintracht Frankfurt is playing in the Conference League this season. The second round will be against Union Saint-Gilloise from Belgium in February.
On Saturday evening (6:30 p.m.) Eintracht Frankfurt will first face relegation-threatened 1. FC Köln in the Bundesliga.
