This year’s Euro adventure was another financial jackpot for HJK.
HJK’s Eurofall ended on Thursday with a 2–4 loss to PAOK. There was no further place in the tough Conference League group.
The Greek PAOK and the German Eintracht Frakfurt march on. Nevertheless, HJK’s wallet will thank you.
When the Euro qualifiers that started in the summer are included, HJK collected a pot of 4,160,000 euros in total this year.
The biggest source of income, which other Veikkausliiga clubs also dream of, was getting to the group stage. The club receives 2.9 million euros for the Conference League group stage alone.
In the conference league, 500,000 euros are paid for a win, and 160,000 euros for a draw.
From the qualifying rounds of the Champions League and the Europa League, HJK’s money pot swelled by a total of 300,000 euros, and from the last qualifying round of the Conference League, it pocketed a hundred tons.
The money distributed according to the so-called club points also comes from UEFA. For HJK, 489,500 euros will be released.
An added bonus

The total amount still lacks the so-called market pool bonus, the exact amount of which is unknown. Uefa distributes market pool money based on international TV rights. In the past, it has been several tens of thousands of euros in the Conference League.
Of course, the costs of away game trips must be deducted from a good four million, but despite that, the pot is significant for HJK.
The fact that, for example, KuPS’s turnover in the most recently approved financial statements gives perspective, was a good three million euros.
