In the year-long million-dollar dispute with managing director Fredi Bobic, second division team Hertha BSC is also appealing the second case. The trial is being conducted at the Berlin Court of Appeal, as a court spokesman told “dpa”. The “Bild” newspaper also reported. This means that the legal dispute, which has now lasted two and a half years, takes another turn.
A spokesman explained that it is now being examined whether the reserved judgment handed down by the regional court at the end of September was based on a violation of the law or whether the underlying facts justify a different decision.
The court had decided in the document process that Hertha had to pay its former managing director 3.35 million euros gross. In addition, there is interest, which should bring the total amount to more than 4 million euros. The old lady also has to bear the costs of the procedure. Even if the appeal is rejected, there could still be a follow-up trial. This would be conducted as a normal civil trial in which all evidence is admissible.

The 53-year-old, who has been Head of Football Operations at Legia Warsaw since the spring, sued in two cases following his ordinary and extraordinary termination. In the second case, the regional court upheld Bobic’s lawsuit against the extraordinary termination. Here, too, Hertha appealed, but the appeal was dismissed by the Court of Appeal. However, a non-admission complaint can still be lodged with the Federal Court of Justice against this decision.
