Milla Kuoka’s personal style – see beautiful pictures of retro costumes

The style of Kuoks does not go unnoticed.

Rovaniemi resident Milla Kuoksa, 29, has always loved fashion. It has taken her to Stockholm, where she now works for fashion giant Hennes & Mauritz’s showroom.

– I am the link between the collections and the fashion media. My work is very social. Combining people and fashion fascinates me. I meet a lot of fashion influencers and stylists in my work, Kuoksa says.

Previously, Kuoksa worked as a salesman in an H&M store, first in Rovaniemi, then in the Helsinki metropolitan area. Eventually, he moved to a Finnish showroom and a couple of marketing assignments. Eventually, Kuoksa headed to the other side of the bay.

– Now I feel like I’m in the right place at the right time. The challenges of the job feel like my own and Stockholm is a wonderful adventure. I look forward to what the future holds.

Kuoksa had secretly dreamed of a career abroad. When the opportunity to move to Sweden came, he was ready. The year in the heart of the new city has been eye-catching. In his work, he meets a lot of people. Communication takes place in both Swedish and English.

– Stockholm is more international than Helsinki and is also noticed in the fashion industry. Although both are Nordic capitals.

“My wardrobe is like my own, small archive”

Many remember Kuoksan’s fashion blog called Lack of Color, which she wrote a few years while studying. Now she is showcasing her own, colorful style on Instagram. Evidence of his own style and interest in fashion has probably taken him further in his career.

– I am a big consumer of fashion media and interested in both trends and style. I use a lot of products from a familiar brand, but I also shop a lot at different flea markets.

Kuoksa is excited about vintage and second hand shopping and dressing through her own mother, who has had a long career in the theater world.

– My mother is hard at making discoveries. She has also been good at giving up and thus maintained the fashion cycle. He also used to make the clothes himself, which I wear for me now. As a child, we found many things used and the tour of the fleas became familiar.

Now Kuoksa shoppers mainly at Stockholm flea markets and Vestiaire Collective, which offer pre-curated fashion at flea prices. However, the main source of inspiration is your own wardrobe, which is a combination of new and old. Kuoksa has clothes in her closet for years, which she has carefully preserved. He also shoots new, especially the collections he now works with.

– My wardrobe is like my own, small archive that lives and complements according to my own life, Kuoksa says.

Homes are displayed in style

Milla Kuoka’s style can easily be called playful and colorful. She loves strong colors and patterns. The nostalgic retro style inspires him. My own style has been found by experimentation and clarified over the years. If the image is not displayed, see it here.

– I don’t believe in style rules. Even though I feel like my own style has been found, it’s still in motion all the time. My style is influenced by the environment and life stages.

Previously, Kuoka’s style changed when he moved from Rovaniemi to Helsinki. The same thing happened when the address momentarily changed to Paris. Now his style is marked by Stockholm.

– I mirror the environment through my own aesthetics. The vibe of a particular city catches on, he says.

Stockholm’s influence on Kuoka’s style is reflected in a certain kind of minimalism that has settled into his outfit choices.

– I think Stockholmers are extremely stylish and personal in a minimalist way. Minimalism is reflected in my own style as a more careful consideration, even though there is always some showy statement garment or accessory involved.

“Dressing should be fun”

Winds of style inspiration have been blowing in the direction of Kuoka recently, mainly from Denmark. As the street fashion images in Copenhagen show, the Danes know the noble skill of combining colors.

The collection of vinyl records that has just begun has also brought a new retro inspiration from the old decades. She speaks styles from Abba, old fashion magazines and Princess Diana. If the image is not displayed, see it here.

– Old pictures take my style forward. The fashion cycle is wonderful.

Kuoksa lived in Rovaniemi back in 2014, when his style was not as colorful or personal as it is now. By the time she lives in her hometown, the newcomers will make the newcomers smile, and according to Kuoksa, that’s the best way to dress.

– My loved ones can wait what kind asuja. I think dressing should be fun. People’s positive comments just elevate my own mood and make me dress even more fun.

Working in fashion has left its mark on Kuoksa’s outfits.

– In the fashion industry, personal clothing is valued. I feel that the permissive atmosphere has increased my self-confidence towards my own vision and dress. I am not interested in the opinions of others regarding my outfits, but I always choose them with confidence. It has led to a more distinctive style.

A ready-to-wear outfit needs no accessories

In everyday life, various statement clothes are important to Kuoka. He thinks party wear shouldn’t be kept just for parties or anniversaries. Suits, matching sets, strong colors and special prints, as well as showy cuts are in Kuoks’ mind. A ready-made outfit doesn’t even need accessories for a friend.

– I think it can look the same in everyday life and at parties. There may well be a little extra in everyday life.

Different heels belong to Kuoka’s style every day. In summer, small shoes, in winter, boots and ankle-heeled ankle boots, which he also marks as good work shoes.

This winter, Kuoka’s credit garment has been a bright green Stand Studio jacket. If the image is not displayed, see it here.

The bright pink jacket from H & M’s Innovation collection is also one of Kuoka’s favorites right now. If the image is not displayed, see it here.

– Jackets are the savior of the north. I think it’s worth investing in, Kuoksa suggests.

Wide-legged trousers have also established themselves in Kuoka’s wardrobe and everyday life. Recently, small, graceful bags have also become a weak point in Kuoka, also in everyday style.

– When the bag is graceful, only what is necessary should be included. I always cycle to work, so the little veska is handy, cute and lovely.

“Wide-legged, well-fitting pants are the savior of everyday life. Colorful dresses belong to the same category,” says Kuoksa. Milla Kuoksan’s album

When he moved to Stockholm, he bought himself the Swedish ATP Atelier brand white bag as a symbolic welcome gift for himself. For her upcoming 30th birthday, she is considering a bag of the same brand in a bright candy color.
