The appearance in the Allianz Arena is also a special affair for the Foo Fighters. On Wednesday (June 17th) the band played their first of two gigs in Germany as part of their “Take Cover” tour 2026. For a long time, FC Bayern Munich’s home stadium was not open to concerts. That has now changed – and so it was a special first for the Foos to play here.
Dave Grohl and Co. have often put on great concerts in Germany. The current setlist for this tour adds up to 29 songs, always ending with “Everlong”. Typically makes up to three hours of guitar epics.
Early in the gig, the singer joked with the audience about the length of the Munich performance. He gave several options, from 2:53 minutes to three hours. Of course you can imagine what the fans demanded. And so Grohl guaranteed the audience a total length of 180 minutes.
The full-bodied announcement only didn’t correspond to reality after 27 songs with a late cover (“Marigold”) and the songs “The Teacher”, “Exhausted” and of course “Everlong” as an encore. At the end the stopwatch showed a little over 2:50 minutes and not the promised three hours.

The Foo Fighters came on stage at 8:05 p.m. and said goodbye to their fans at 10:55 p.m. Maybe the Americans will fill the three hours in the Olympic Stadium in Berlin on July 1st. Anyone who wants to convince themselves of this can also buy tickets (from 82.50 euros).
