Miljuschka Witzenhausen is not charmed by Russian President Vladimir Putin. Because of him, she currently has the heating off in her million-dollar farm. “Typhoid-Putin.”
It disturbs Miljuschka Witzenhausen immensely that Russian President Vladimir Putin has started a war in neighboring Ukraine. She refuses to fund his state treasury and has therefore decided to barely heat her million-dollar farm this winter. As a result, she walks around at home in a winter coat.
Heating broken?
Miljuschka gives a journalist from the VARAgids quite a scare when they meet digitally for an interview. “The interview is conducted via a video connection on the laptop. When Miljuschka appears on screen, it appears that she is wearing a thickly lined coat and a hat,” the interviewer writes.
Has energy poverty already reached the stars of RTL? The VARA guide journalist is in despair: “Eh, is your heating broken?”
Typhus-Putin
Miljuschka replies in the negative. “No, I live in a farm, the living room has a high ceiling (laptop screen moves) so if you heat here, the ridge in particular gets warm. And I refuse to fill the treasury of that typhoid Putin, so here in this room the heating is not on.”
How does she like being home nickel from the cold? “It takes some getting used to, especially for someone who grew up in an apartment with the thermostat set to Suriname. But this also gives a zest for life.”
fleece blankets
Meanwhile, the lively Miljuschka has started preparing for Christmas. “Some friends come over, everyone makes something, I like to keep myself busy with the dessert. That is usually a pavlova cake.”
Very cosy. Hopefully they will also bring fleece blankets and thermal underwear.
