Miljuschka Witzenhausen scores bizarrely bad on RTL 5: ‘This is why’

Miljuschka Witzenhausen scores particularly poorly as the new presenter of Obese. Really everyone has been zapping around it for four weeks with a big bend. “This is wrongly programmed.”

Obese made a cautious start on the first day of this month with only 340 thousand viewers on RTL 5. More than half of the viewers have now dropped out. The fourth episode yesterday, on Wednesday evening, did not exceed 167 thousand viewers and 4 percent market share.

‘Wow, really little!’

With this score, Miljuschka Witzenhausen has by far not enough viewers for a place in the top 25 viewership. She scored as many viewers as the news at 7.30 in the morning and that is of course not enough at prime time.

Viewing figures authority Tina Nijkamp thinks that RTL has committed a major blunder. “Oh dear. Only 167,000 viewers for a new episode of Obese with Miljuschka on RTL 5. That is very little. I also think it was wrongly programmed,” she wrote on Instagram.

‘Better in January’

Tina does not think it is smart that RTL broadcasts a waste program in the summer. “I think it is an unwritten law that you should always broadcast waste programs in the winter (preferably from January). This is to inspire viewers even more so that they can be slim in the summer.”

According to Tina, inspiring viewers to go to Christmas dinner well-trained does not work. “If you don’t start broadcasting until late spring/summer, it’s too late for that purpose and can even be demotivating.”

Frits on one

Frits Sissing was the prime time winner yesterday with 1.3 million viewers (34%) on NPO 1, followed by RTL 4’s Het Perfecte Plaatje in Argentina with 705 thousand viewers (19%).

The other most viewed prime-time titles were Nieuwsuur with 584 thousand viewers (16%) on NPO 2, Busje Komt Zo with 461 thousand viewers (13%) on NPO 1 and Steenrijk Straatarm with 430 thousand viewers (11%) on SBS 6 .

Viewing figures

Other programs that did not make the top 15 include Shownieuws (452 thousand), 112 Today (347 thousand), Children Buy A House (340 thousand) and Shownieuws Zomer Edition (226 thousand).
