Miljuschka Witzenhausen is absolutely not a fan of Frans Timmermans, she says at the Today Inside talk show table. “He is a kind of Gnome Plop meets Father Abraham.”
Frans Timmermans’ campaign is going slowly. He constantly shouts everywhere that he wants to increase all taxes, but in the meantime he lets go of another hobbyhorse of GroenLinks-PvdA without consultation: during the RTL debate he surprised his supporters by announcing that halving nitrogen emissions by 2030 is not sacrosanct.
No Coffee Time
Wilfred Genee asks himself Today Inside wondering where this is all going. “Do you see Timmermans growing up? What do you think? I see you are not a Timmermans fan.”
His dinner guest Miljuschka Witzenhausen initially reacts cautiously. “No, I don’t know what to say.”
Johan Derksen encourages: “It’s not Coffee Time, is it?”
Gnome Plop
Then Miljuschka comes up with her opinion. “Okay. I always think of him as a kind of Gnome Plop meets Father Abraham and I always feel like he’s preaching, you know what I mean? And that there is no way to get in between that. And I find that a bit difficult from such a person. Yeah, I just don’t get it with him.”
Wilfred: “You don’t like it?”
Miljuschka agrees: “No, I don’t like it at all. I also think: he was of course a kind of climate knight and now he says: ‘Oh, yes, 2030, pff!’”
“I don’t like him!”
Wilfred also finds it remarkable that Frans apparently decides on his own that halving nitrogen emissions by 2030 is not sacrosanct. “Yes, and they at GroenLinks are not happy about that!”
Miljuschka finds it astonishing. “Yes, how?!”
