A sergeant of the Brigade of the Legion (Brileg) has died and three soldiers have been injured this friday after being hit by a military vehicle in the field of maneuvers of the Álvarez de Sotomayor de Viator military base, in Almería.

Sources from the Andalucía 112 Emergencies service have confirmed to Europa Press that the outrage occurred this Friday around 7:20 p.m., causing the death of the sergeant Julio Luque Virues.

The 112 has indicated that after receiving the notice, the health services came to the scene and confirmed the death of the sergeant. The injured have been transferred to the Torrecárdenas University Hospital in the capital.

For its part, the Army has lamented through its Twitter account the death of the member of the Legion, assigned to the ‘Rey Alfonso XIII’ Brigade. It has also detailed that the accident took place during a preparation exercise for the A/I mission, which takes place in Iraq.
