Miley Cyrus is once again on everyone’s lips. That means her new song “Used To Be Young” is being sung all over TikTok and in shower stalls (yes, some radio stations are playing it too, of course). But why can’t the singer be seen live at all?
A few months ago, Cyrus announced that he would not be going on a concert tour for the time being, but did not give any further justification. Now she spoke plainly in a video of her TikTok interview series.
Accordingly, the tour waiver is also an attempt to protect your own psyche. “There’s a certain need (on tour) to show the ego and play a part in that and I feel like touring pushes it and once that switch’s flipped it’s hard to get it back ‘ said the 30-year-old. “If you feed your ego every night to keep it active, it’s almost impossible to get off it.”
90 minutes for the fans, life without a break for Miley Cyrus
She had prepared her life for such moments, as the musician said on TikTok: “Travelling as a cheerleader really prepared me for touring. The show or competition there might only last one day, but that’s what most people don’t understand when you’re touring. The gig may only last 90 minutes, but then that’s your life.”
It is not healthy for her to be the one being watched every day. “Because it erases my humanity and my connection to others,” Cyrus said. “But without my humanity and my connection to others, I can’t be a songwriter – and that’s the most important thing to me.”

With one of those absurd jokes that Miley Cyrus is also known for (and which her hoarse voice deepens even more), she sums up the dilemma: “Have you ever seen a girl who was up for two years tour was? It comes back with hair on its face, I tell you.”
Miley Cyrus’ new album “Endless Summer Vacation” was only released in March and impressed with perhaps the singer’s best single for many years: “Flowers”.
