Milan, the coded banner against the Neapolitans: the address of Acqua e soap

The Rossoneri fans displayed an enigmatic sign against their opponents, which was later decrypted on….Google Maps

At San Siro it was a festive evening for Milan, who thanks to Ismael Bennacer’s goal – in full Ramadan – won the first leg of the quarter-finals of the Champions League. A game that lived up to expectations with high tempos, goal chances and quality plays. In the midst of all this, however, a banner that appeared from the Rossoneri curve caused a sensation, displaying a very enigmatic wording. “Via Raffaele Stasi 40/46 (NA)”, an inscription which, at the time, was quite incomprehensible but which subsequently found its meaning on Google Maps.

That address refers to a shop of the “Acqua e Sapone” family, located in the Vomero district of Naples, as well as one of the largest chains in the hygiene, perfumery and house cleaning sector. Three words which, footballingly speaking, refer to an anti-Neapolitan chorus and which the Milan fans wanted to use to provoke their opponents. The climate, in view of the return, is getting hotter and hotter.
