The bobsled, skeleton and luge track for the Milan-Cortina 2026 Olympics and Paralympics will be in the Veneto municipality: Simico has signed the agreement with the Pizzarotti company which will carry out the works. “The choice – we read in a note – puts a firm point on the extreme determination of the Government to complete all the works in view of the Games as best as possible and in Italy”. The news is confirmed “with great satisfaction” by the Vice President of the Council and Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Matteo Salvini, and by the Minister for Sport and Youth, Andrea Abodi.

Now it will be the turn of CONI president Giovanni Malagò to go to the IOC (who had already expressed his dissent on the attempts to keep the bobsleigh track in Cortina in the ’26 Games, effectively advising the races to be held abroad), probably together with Abodi, to change the mind of the highest international Olympic body.
