Milan, Caldara in the Champions League list: Romero, Pellegrino and Bennacer out

The centre-back, back from two loans, returns because he doesn’t take away a position and obviously grew up in the nursery of an Italian team. Out of the two Argentines and the Algerian due to injury

Pioli has chosen the Champions list. Only one surprise for Milan: Mattia Caldara, 29, will be part of the Rossoneri’s adventure in the big cup. The centre-back, back from two loans concluded with as many relegations with Venice and Spezia, will be available to the coach for the matches against Newcastle, Psg and Borussia Dortmund. His contract expires in June, at the moment he is the sixth centre-back, but he is useful for the European lists as he grew up in the nursery of an Italian club such as Florenzi, Sportiello and Mirante. In fact, according to the regulation, four players who grew up at home must be included (plus another 4 from the youth team).

the excluded

The list will have 23 players and must be delivered by midnight, with the possibility of making changes until 12 tomorrow. There will be three excluded. Obviously the injured Bennacer, still struggling with the knee problem, and the two newcomers, Marco Pellegrino and Luka Romero. The two Argentines are not on the list. Present Yacine Adl however, except last year. The Frenchman will be Krunic’s deputy. No doubt about the others.
