Up to this moment, Milan has collected 15.64 million as the basic participation fee in the group stage, 4.66 million based on the results (a win is worth 2.8 million, a draw 930 thousand euros), just over 19 million brought by the ranking, the share of the market pool (4 million at least), a figure currently not quantifiable from the sponsors’ prizes and, last but certainly not least, the box office takings: almost 5 million for Newcastle and the 7, 7 with PSG. The last act with Borussia is missing, and it is reasonable to expect something that still travels around 7 million. Obviously there will still be money brought in by any victories or draws in these last two matches of the group. The overall figure, therefore, thus far reaches around 65-70 million. How much is it worth to qualify for the round of 16? It’s almost double digits: 9.6 million. Plus another guaranteed super box office gross.
