The return of the Algerian allows the Rossoneri coach to evaluate Kessie’s progress in the attacking midfielder position: the sacrificed would be Diaz
Good news for Stefano Pioli: one after another, the players who had missed the away match in Turin are returning to play. If yesterday the first to train in a group and to leave the infirmary were Ante Rebic and Samu Castillejo, today it was Ismael Bennacer’s turn. The Algerian has disposed of a muscular fatigue and is back in full efficiency: on Friday he will be called up for Milan-Genoa. Which, however, will not happen for Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Alessio Romagnoli (as well as for Florenzi and Kjaer, of course). Ibra, in particular, does not even have the chance to challenge Inter in the return leg of the semi-finals of the Italian Cup, scheduled for Tuesday 19 April.
More choice
–
Finding Bennacer is fundamental for Pioli, not just for the value of the player. The return of the Algerian, in fact, allows the Rossoneri coach to give more unpredictability to his choices, assuming that he confirms the traditional starting 4-2-3-1 in any case. Bennacer in the median, in fact, would theoretically allow Kessie to advance the position on the attacking midfielders: at that point Brahim Diaz, who for months has not been making a contribution to the height of his talent, would go on the bench.
