Mikko Rantanen was suspended for one match. The NHL’s player safety department, i.e. discipline informed about it on sunday evening.
The Finnish star of the Dallas Stars received a shower command the night before Sunday, when he tackled the Calgary Flames Matt Coronato ugly from the back.
Rantanen was automatically suspended for one match. If a player receives two or more ejections for physical activity violations before playing in 41 consecutive regular season games, he will be sidelined for his team’s next game.
The conditions apply to Rantase. The Finnish striker received two dismissals this week. He also received jet command on Tuesday after beating the New York Islanders Alexander Romanov from back to side.
Bloody in the booth
Both Romanov and Coronato were injured due to tackles by the Finnish star of the Dallas Stars.
After the tackle, Coronato was left lying on the ice for a while, but then left the booth covered in blood. The Flames Jonathan Huberdeau in turn challenged the Finn to a fight after a rough tackle.
After the fight, the jury ordered Rantanen to shower.
