Over the years, the Dancing with the Stars program has seen dramatic injuries, due to which the star students have had to stop the competition.

This season, a wild moment was experienced on Sunday of the other week, right before the live broadcast.

Actor Mikko Nousiainen and dance teacher Kerttu Nieminen were just in general practice when Mikko hurt his leg. The duo could not perform live.

– I couldn’t step on that foot, Mikko recalls in an interview with Iltalehti.

Later at the doctor, the cause was revealed to be a tear in the muscle membrane. The doctors gave the actor permission to continue in the competition. Dance training started right away on Tuesday.

– I was able to dance with taping and painkillers. You always feel that something is wrong there, but then you have to try to get it between your ears that this is just a signal that there is nothing to worry about, the actor says.

– I was terribly excited to come here, how will my head and seats hold up. It’s an insanely good feeling that I was able to return, that I didn’t have to leave the race.

The audience gave the couple a standing ovation after the performance. The star couple collected 21 points from the jury.

– It’s a great pleasure to see you back on this stage in this competition, judge Jorma Uotinen said in the broadcast.

– You exude a natural elegance. Even though my dance journey has been short so far, I still feel that all the movements are really meaningful and carefully chosen, Helena Ahti-Hallberg commented on Miko’s presentation.
