Musician Mikko Kuustonen and choreographer Hanna Brotherus announced before Christmas that their 10-year relationship had ended.
Brotherus sums up the mood of 2023 in its latest update.
– The past year has been learning about forgiveness, humility, choices and many deep things. Deep listening to the self, and not only the mind, but the body, daring to uncertainty, going where the light shines, heading there. That’s what I still hope for the new year, for all of us, Brotherus writes on Instagram.
– Thank you for sharing the weight of life, thank you for friendship, helping, thank you for listening, thank you for being human and humane, thank you for looking me in the eye, to everyone I’ve had the chance to meet this year. Come the new year, the writing ends.
Judging by everything, the relationship between the former married couple is still warm. Kuustonen has commented on Brotherus’ publication with a picture of a heart.

Kuustonen and Brotherus announced their separation on Instagram on December 15.

Kuustonen and Brotherus brought their relationship to the public at the end of 2014, when they arrived together to watch the UNICEF Dancing with the Stars broadcast together.
The ex-couple got married in 2018 in Helsinki’s Old Church.
