Mike Tyson wants to go back into the ring

In November, Mike Tyson was again in the boxing ring at the age of 58, after which it was hailing and ridicule. Now the former world champion wants to compete again-this time against another ex-champion.
Former boxing world champion Mike Tyson returns to the ring again-this time for a show fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr. When and where the 59-year-old will compete against his eleven years younger opponents, the organizer CSI Sport was not emphasized. However, it was said that the event is most likely to take place in spring 2026.
Mayweather remained unbeaten in his active career (50 fights) and-like his older colleague-made a name for himself with spectacular wins. Tyson recently stood in a show fight against influencer Jake Paul in the ring, who had just started boxing shortly before. After that, the former heavy -brewed bum for his idea against the 31 -year opponent was showered with criticism and ridicule.
“When CSI spoke to me about a fight against Floyd Mayweather, I thought: ‘Never will do that,'”, Tyson was quoted in the CSI message. “But: Floyd said.”
Mayweather won five world championship titles in different weight classes, but was never more difficult than in the junior medium weight, the limit of which is £ 154 (approx. 70 kg). In 2017 he competed against the world-famous Martial arts fighter Conor McGregor.
“Anyway, boxing has arrived in an era of the unexpected – and this fight is as unlikely as it can be done,” said Tyson. He has already sent his opponent a declaration of war: “It will be devastating for his health, but he really wants to. So we do it too, it is signed and decided”.
Mayweather is relaxed before the upcoming giant duel. “I’ve been doing this for 30 years now and so far there has been no fighter who could be dangerous to me,” he let himself be quoted in a press release. “You know that if I do something, I do it right, then it will be legendary. I am the best in the boxing business and this show fight will be a treat for the fans”.
The CSI Sports/Fight Sports founder Richard and Craig Miele also leave no doubt that the argument will become good business, probably with record exchanges and exorbitant millions. “Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather are two of the most sonorous names and most dazzling personalities in the sports world. They are icons of the 21st century”. That is why the promoters assume that the fight “will go beyond television rights, streaming and other economic records”.
