Mike Snoei in De Aftrap: “Send a card, we must not forget Donny van Iperen”

It has been almost three weeks since former Telstar player Donny van Iperen fell into a coma after a collision with the goalkeeper on a football field in Moldova. The 27-year-old football player from Sint-Pancras was transferred to Erasmus MC in Rotterdam to be able to nurse him better. His former trainer at Telstar, Mike Snoei, makes an appeal in football talk show De Aftrap to support Donny and the family.

With Van Iperen in the selection, Telstar finished in sixth place in the first division in 2018. The best result in years. According to Snoei, thanks in part to the unyielding defender who played for Go Ahead Eagles and AE Karaiskakis after Telstar, before ending up with FC Zimbru Chisinau in Moldova this summer.

“This was Donny, a warrior, a real White Lion. I hope he will achieve the impossible.”
