TPS rumbled in Ilves’ tennis reading 6–0 in the second semi-final match of the Finnish Championship League in Turku.
TPS’s number one star was in the youth chain Mikael Wipe, who made the first hat trick of his career in the playoffs. In the regular season, Pyyhti scored three goals against Pelicans.
– It felt good, it’s always nice to score goals, Pyyhtä was hit by 2–0, 4–0 and 5–0 hits.
In the regular season, Pyyhtiä collected 35 (21 + 14) power points in 56 matches. In nine playoffs, the power points have been 9 (5 + 4).
Chain friends Markus Nurmi (3 + 10 = 13) and Juuso Pärssinen (2 + 6 = 8) occupy the points exchange by one and seven. Towel is third on the stock exchange.
Domination
TPS was already better than Ilves in Tampere by five to five on Saturday, but lost 2-3.
– We knew we were strong evenly. That Saturday’s game crashed into a bad underpower. This game was what we started to pick up, we didn’t give our opponent anything, Wipe said.
On Sunday, TPS dominated the match however he wanted.
– Of course, a 6-0 win gives you more self-confidence, but this should not be too much of a hat. It is exactly the same which readings are on the board, but the winnings are 1–1, Pyyhtiä reminded.
To the medicine cabinet
TPS got to play twice with five against three. Three minutes and 17 seconds of two-man dominance didn’t bring TPS any goals.
In the semi-finals against Ilves, TPS has not yet scored any superiority goals, and this is a dangerous trend for the future.
– You really have to look for someone to bite. You should get at least one goal of superiority, because in special situations, flat games usually settle, Pyyhtiä stated.
TPS and Ilves will meet in Tampere on Tuesday and in Turku on Wednesday. Winnings are 1-1, four wins are required for the finals.
