Mika Godts and Jong Ajax struggle past TOP Oss

Young Ajax defeated TOP Oss 1-0. Mika Godts, who has been the star for the reserves on several occasions, scored the only goal of the match. The victory means Jong Ajax rises to seventeenth place.

Just like at Telstar, the Jong Ajax match started after a minute of silence for the deceased Ruud Geels at Sportpark De Toekomst. The first half had few highlights in Amsterdam against TOP Oss. One bright spot was the goal by Mika Godts, who has already excelled with the Amsterdam promises in recent weeks.

Oualid Agougil played in Jaydon Banel, he found Godts with a backheel and the Belgian shot behind Mike Havekotte: 1-0. Just before half time, the Ossen team came out dangerously through Thijs van Leeuwen, but his effort was saved by Charlie Setford.

In the second half, Banel made two dangerous attempts, but without success. Both times Havekotte stopped the Amsterdam lead from doubling. However, TOP Oss could not counter this, leaving the score 1-0.
