The Midnight Walk in Assen raised an amount of 25,500 euros for the National Children’s Aid Fund on Friday evening. After a warm day, the evening had wonderful temperatures in store for a walk through the Drenthe capital.
Thousands of participants walked a beautiful route of approximately 6.5 kilometers, with music and street theater along the way. The starting gun sounded at Koopmansplein at nine o’clock. The amount was also announced at the same time. The money goes to projects that help children from poor families.
The Midnight Walk is organized annually by the Rotary Club Assen-Noord. Every year the registration fee goes to a good cause in Assen.
