Midden-Drenthe scores lower than other municipalities on employee involvement. However, there is no longer any question of social insecurity

Bureau Effectory has conducted a survey among the staff of the municipality of Midden-Drenthe into employee engagement. Years ago, social insecurity was a thorny issue, but that is no longer the case. On all aspects, however, Midden-Drenthe scores slightly lower than a comparison group of other municipalities.

The workload in a number of places in the organization is too high. The Board wants to continue working on the professionalisation of the organisation, but that costs money and the current shortage on the labor market is not cooperating either.

Follow-up

The researchers conclude that the results show an average score, with a slightly lower score than the comparison municipalities. Tineke Posthoorn (PvdA) and Wim Oosting (Municipality of Central Drenthe) are curious about the sequel. Alderman Jan Schipper (CDA) told the General Board on Wednesday that the different results are discussed per team: “Per team, improvement actions are also agreed.” The results are shown per team and can therefore also differ per team. That requires customization.
