The Federated States of Micronesia (FSM) has severed diplomatic relations with Russia, calling the military operation in Ukraine “an unjustified and brutal invasion.” This is mentioned on site government of Micronesia.
“The FSM condemns the Russian Federation’s invasion of Ukraine and the unjustified and brutal attack on its people and territory, which our country recognizes as unequivocally heinous and highly contemptible,” said Micronesian President David Panuelo. “We support Ukraine and categorically reject the most egregious act of aggression in Europe since World War II.”
This decision was made in connection with Ukraine breaking off diplomatic relations with Russia and Kiev’s call to its partners to do the same, he explained. The resumption of relations between Russia and Micronesia will take place only when Moscow demonstrates “an effective commitment to the cause of peace, friendship, cooperation and love,” Panuelo concluded.
