What does one of the biggest rock stars in the world do when he plays a sold-out concert in Munich’s Olympic Stadium the next day – but has some free time the day before? Well, take a leisurely stroll through Munich! At least that’s what Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger thought on June 4, 2022 — one day before the British rock legends gave their first of two Germany concerts in the Bavarian capital.
Jagger shared a few impressions of his day in the city on the Isar on his social networks. Among other things, the musician presented himself very relaxed in the beer garden – and toasted his fans with a rustic beer. Jagger seems to be sitting unmolested among the regular beer garden crowd. He’s wearing a straw hat and sunglasses and isn’t immediately recognizable unless you look closely and don’t expect it.
In other pictures, the 78-year-old shows himself on the riverbank or – at least that’s the impression it gives – doing gymnastics in front of the “Walking Man” statue on Leopoldstrasse in the Schwabing district.
In another picture, Jagger poses smiling in front of a sports car. Passers-by are sitting behind him on a staircase, the superstar actually seems to have remained unrecognized. Did he go out without a bodyguard?
Jagger likes incognito
The fact that Mick likes to walk the streets incognito and take part in “normal” life is nothing new. At the end of 2021, a photo that he posted on his Instagram page caused a stir. This showed him drinking beer in a pub in North Carolina. Only after he published the photo did the bar staff realize who had actually honored them.
Information about the show in Munich
However, today (June 5) Sir Mick has nothing to do with free time: The Rolling Stones are playing in the Olympic Stadium. Due to a storm warning, admission had to be postponed – all information can be found here.
The British rockers are currently on an anniversary tour to celebrate their 60th band anniversary. The Stones celebrated the European start of the “Sixty” tour on June 1, 2022 in Madrid. In the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium they delivered a 135-minute stage show with hits like “Paint It Black” and “Satisfaction”, but also surprises like “Out Of Time”. In addition to the gig in Munich, there is another Germany show on July 27th in the Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen.
