Since the Rolling Stones are performing in Gelsenkirchen on July 27, Mick Jagger celebrated his birthday in Düsseldorf the day before. The 79-year-old singer seemed to enjoy it and published a photo that is more reminiscent of a Bavarian festival.
The photo seems almost like something out of a fever dream. Mick Jagger is sitting on a rustic seat made from a tree trunk, surrounded by two women in dirndls and two men in lederhosen. Behind the Stones singer is a four-piece brass band also dressed in Bavarian costume.
“Thank you for the birthday wishes! It was great here in Düsseldorf,” the singer wrote in the caption. His son Lucas Jagger also spoke up. He commented: “A very surprising night”. Only the Jaggers know what that means.
Last stop in Berlin
The Rolling Stones arrived in Düsseldorf on July 25 with their private jet. Jagger is said to have gone shopping on Königsallee the next day. On Wednesday they play in the Veltins Arena. By the way, the last stop of the “Sixty” tour is the Waldbühne in Berlin.
