Mick Jagger gave an interview to the private radio station FFH. Among other things, the 80-year-old Rolling Stones singer spoke about the preparations for the Rolling Stones’ upcoming tour next year.
Rehearsals for the band’s US tour are scheduled to start in March. “It means getting fit, both physically and vocally. “Then my life will be pretty boring again,” says Jagger.
“You will probably be allowed to miss another day”
But until then, he’ll definitely treat himself to something over the holidays and not miss out on holiday roasts and sweets under the Christmas tree: “You’ll probably be allowed to miss another day, don’t you think?” Then it’s time to get fit but really get going.
The Rolling Stones will not be coming to Germany next year. But Jagger gives German fans hope in the interview: “I hope that Europe and Germany will be our next stops.” He is looking forward to eating regional specialties in Good Ol’ Germany and making jokes about them on stage. “You have different delicacies everywhere in Germany, sausages for example. I always like to talk about that at the shows!”
“The Hackney Diamonds”, the Rolling Stones’ new and 24th record, was released on October 20th. For many it is one of the best of the year. In the interview, Jagger says that, first and foremost, he wanted the album to please him.
