2023: Mick Jagger and his partner Melanie Hamrick at the state banquet at the Palace of Versailles

A state banquet in the pompous Hall of Mirrors at the Palace of Versailles almost calls for a guest list full of nobility. Next to King Charles III. and Queen Camilla, who were invited to the banquet by French President Emmanuel Macron on the occasion of their three-day state visit, musical royalty also graced the group. Mick Jagger and his partner Melanie Hamrick attracted everyone’s attention on the evening of September 20th.
The couple particularly impressed with their elegant outfits. While the Rolling Stones frontman wore a simple black tuxedo and a patterned scarf around his neck, his partner, 44 years his junior, caused a stir. The American choreographer combined the body-hugging, dark dress with a floor-length cape decorated with sequins, whose special feature was the square shoulders. She wore her black hair strictly pulled back in a low bun.
The couple is rarely seen side by side in public. Jagger and Hamrick have been dating since 2014 and released their song Deveraux Octavian Basil two years later. It is the 80-year-old rock singer’s eighth child.
The Rolling Stones recently released their single “Angry” and provided a foretaste of their album “Hackney Diamonds”, which will be released on October 20th. There will also be a making-of film for the new record.
