Mick Fleetwood, Sheryl Crow and Bonnie Raitt commemorated Christine McVie at the 65th Grammy Awards. Together they played their composition “Songbird”. The musicians took turns singing the Fleetwood Mac classic while Fleetwood accompanied them on percussion. McVie passed away on November 30, 2022 at the age of 79.

Other deceased artists were also remembered during the award ceremony. Kacey Musgrave sang “Coal Miner’s Daughter” by Loretta Lynn, who died in October 2022 at the age of 90. The song “Guinnevere” by Crosby, Stills and Nash was also played – while pictures and names of the musicians* who died last year were displayed on a screen, including Lisa Marie Presley, Terry Hall, Olivia Newton-John and Andrew Fletcher.
