Pursued by the tax office, abandoned by fans, fired from the TV station – now he apparently wants to go back to Schlager Olympus. Or at least a tiny bit up…
Michael Wendler (50) has reported back: On his Facebookpage, the controversial pop singer announces that he wants to release new music. He addresses his remaining supporters with the words “Dear fans and friends!”
In the accompanying photo, Wendler can be seen next to the music producer Jack Price, with whom the singer, who has fallen into disrepute for swearing, is apparently in the music studio.
“My favorite arranger JACK PRICE has just arrived in the USA and the first hits are already in the can,” writes Wendler. “Of course I’ll keep you up to date and maybe there will be a first taste here soon…”
Ticket sales for the 2024 tour will start later this year
The last plans for his tour next year are “almost complete.” According to Wendler, ticket sales should start before Christmas. Signed: “Your Micha”.
The 50-year-old with the mountain of debt and the tax office breathing down his neck sounds happy and confident, as if nothing had happened. And even spits big tones: “Nothing can stop what’s coming… THE RETURN OF THE KING”.
Is everything good with Michael Wendler now? He’s making music again, the most loyal and most loyal fans are still there, the career break will soon be behind him?
Hardly – but the pressure should be higher than ever now that wife Laura (22) will soon give birth to their first child together. And who is the producer with whom Wendler works? Jack Price has been at Wendler’s side for several years and, according to his own statements, works as a freelance composer and arranger “for almost all the protagonists of the ZDF hit parade”. These include Jürgen Drews (78) and Norman Lange (38).
Whether it’s going up again thanks to new music with the Wendler? One thing is certain: he needs money. And making music has to be his best idea in a long time…
