Michael Schumacher’s unfathomable record remains

The world champion of the last two seasons Max Verstappen has dominated the 2023 Formula 1 season in incredible fashion.

The first four GPs resulted in a 1–2–1–2 ranking series for Verstappen, while his teammate Sergio Perez managed to win the second and fourth races.

After that, the Dutchman racked up a full ten wins in a row, until the 15th race of the season in Singapore last Sunday ended Red Bull’s winning streak.

Verstappen left Ferrari Carlos Sainz fifth in the winning competition.

At the same time, he lost the opportunity to rise Michael Schumacher side by side to share one of this toughest F1 records: ESPN F1 reminded on X (formerly Twitter) that Schumacher is still the only F1 driver who has been able to stand on the podium in every race of the season.

Schumacher succeeded in the trick in the 2002 season, when he drove his Ferrari to the checkered flag among the first three in all races, which there were 17 that season. There were 11 wins, five second places and one third place, and as a result the fifth of “Schum’s” seven world championships in total.
