Michael Gerads is Mizuno’s new Sales Manager Germany/Austria

Michael Gerads switched to the Japanese multi-sports brand Mizuno on August 1 and is taking over from Marc Steinke, who is facing new challenges. In the position of Sales Manager for Germany and Austria, he is responsible in all categories for strategically important field service customers, purchasing associations and selected main customers as well as generalists.

In addition, the 45-year-old heads the field service team and will drive the further, qualitative expansion of Mizuno’s sales channels. Before that, the passionate tennis player and football fan worked for Diadora SpA in the Business Development and Market Research department for over six years and before that for almost four years in the regional sales force at Lotto Sport Germany.

“We are very pleased to welcome Michael Gerads to the Mizuno team. We would also like to thank Marc Steinke, who has taken important steps with Mizuno over the past two years,” commented Christian Wiesender, Country Manager Mizuno Germany/Austria, in a statement.

The sportswear brand, which was founded in Osaka in 1906, made a name for itself late last year when it partnered with car manufacturer Mazda to develop a one-of-a-kind ‘driving sneaker’.
