With “Basic Instinct” the actor filmed some of the most famous bed scenes in Hollywood history. Now he said that it takes hard work and a lot of sensitivity.
Actor Michael Douglas has a special strategy when shooting sex scenes. “The secret is,” said the 78-year-old on Wednesday in Cannes, “rehearsals”.
It’s like a fight scene: “You have to learn the choreography.” Start very leisurely and work your way up slowly. “It is important that the woman does not feel cheated. So before we start, you tell her, “Okay, I’ll put my hand here,” is that okay? OK. you put your hand here And then the kisses start…” the American described the shooting of an intimate scene.
“When you’re successful, it seems like it’s all impulsive… but it’s very well choreographed.”
Douglas (“Basic Instinct,” “Wall Street”) received the Palme d’Or of Honor at the Cannes Film Festival on Tuesday.
