In the past few weeks, reports on Michaël Cuisance’s future at Bayern have almost rolled over. Now it is apparently certain: The Frenchman is leaving the record champions – it should now go very quickly.
Is that the end of a major misunderstanding? Michaël Cuisance never really got warmed up at Bayern and could never really meet the high expectations. The now 22-year-old moved from Borussia Mönchengladbach to the German record champions in 2019 for eight million euros, with great ambitions. But the balance since then: only 13 competitive games, two goals, plus a loan to Olympique Marseille last season. In the current season, the former talent was only on the field for 56 minutes.
Now the Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports: Cuisance will leave FC Bayern during this winter break – and move to FC Venice in Serie A. Accordingly, only the midfielder’s medical check is pending. As a replacement for Cuisance, whose contract with Bayern runs until 2024, four million euros should be in the room.
Reports of Misconduct
Most recently, the reports about the future of the former French junior national player in Munich came thick and fast. Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann announced during the season: “We have to hold talks, which makes sense.” There were also reports of misconduct within the team, and Cuisance is said to have vented his displeasure with his situation at the club.
Now the new start in Italy. FC Venice has already been traded as a possible buyer, as has Russian top club CSKA Moscow. Venice has now apparently made the race.
