Michael Ballack sharply criticizes the Bayern star

Things have recently become quiet around Bayern’s Joshua Kimmich. Too calm for TV expert Michael Ballack, which is why he called him out publicly.

According to Ballack, a player doesn’t always have to play outstandingly to be a leader and have this claim. And further: “You can still articulate it from time to time when developing your personality, and for me recently he was simply too quiet and endured too much discussion.” Ballack expects this from Kimmich as a leading player, “regardless of where he plays.”

If the Bayern star wants to take a leadership position in both the club and the national team, he needs to express himself more clearly in public. Ballack also referred to a role model function: “The younger players need players like that to pull themselves up.”

Kimmich is currently playing in the role of right-back. National coach Julian Nagelsmann has also already decided that Kimmich will not be used in central midfield at the home European Championship next summer, but as a defender. The professional had accepted the decision so far. The central midfield of the DFB team was recently well staffed with İlkay Gündoğan, returnee Toni Kroos, Robert Andrich, Leon Goretzka and Pascal Groß.
