Mia Goth: Lawsuit because she is said to have kicked an extra in the head

The British actress has not yet commented on the charges.

James Hunter, who worked as an extra in the film “MaXXXine,” is suing actress Mia Goth. He claims the 30-year-old deliberately kicked him in the head during filming last April and then taunted him.

In the statement of claim that US “Rolling Stone” is also available, it can also be read that the film distributor A24 and director Ti West (who already worked with Goth on “Pearl”) are also supposed to assert themselves in court.

Entered on purpose?

According to his own statements, the plaintiff was supposed to play a dead man in a scene in the horror film. To do this, he would have lain on the floor covered in fake blood for several hours on the first night of filming. As the scene progressed, Goth had to walk past him, look down, and walk over him. During a take, the Brit almost stepped on James Hunter’s head, the lawsuit says. He then allegedly told Mia Goth to be more careful. On the next take, quoted US “Rolling Stone” Goth then has the statement of claim intentionally kicked the plaintiff in the head with her boot. As a result, the extra “immediately felt a headache and stiffness in his neck.”

Hunter claims he reported the injury to an assistant director, who told Goth and director Ti West about it – but the plaintiff was not offered medical attention. After the scene was filmed, according to the filing, Mia Goth “invaded the plaintiff’s bathroom, his privacy, laughed at him, mocked him and asked him to do something about it.”

Casting agency threw the plaintiff out

James Hunter’s casting agency informed him by email the next day that he had left the film. “Whatever happened, production doesn’t want you back,” is the quote in the lawsuit.

At the end of April 2023, Hunter sought medical help in the hospital and was diagnosed with a concussion. He is now seeking $500,000 in damages. A statement from Mia Goth as well as Ti West and the film distributor is currently pending.
