‘Mia & Dion are two crazy people, what a caper’

Just now that Mia & Dion are slowly finding their way up, they get one more merciless blow from the Hilversum chat bazaar. Evert Santegoeds goes all out on the Eurovision couple.

The Eurovision duo Mia Nicolai and Dion Cooper have found their way up since their performance at Khalid & Sophie. They have adapted their song in such a way that they can now sing it without appearing to be completely tone-deaf. Very clever, but they are not yet rid of the critics.

Fucking music

Evert Santegoeds goes into his infamous podcast Strictly Private namely completely loose on this poor couple. As their gloomy song begins, the gossip general bellows, “Yes, this shouldn’t take too long, this torment. It’s really… Ah, yes, stop it man! With that shitty music. Is really not doing this.”

Is that it? No, it’s still going on. “That howling of those people and those attitudes behind the scenes and that English speaking of them. It’s really impossible to do. I find them so intensely terrible these people. It’s really… I’ll be glad when it’s over next Tuesday.”

Milk maw

Doesn’t Evert think it’s very hopeful that Mia & Dion are now performing on a turntable? “No, nothing is going to save that act. Those people aren’t going to save that act. That milky mouth and that girl, it’s terrible.”

With milk mouth, the editor-in-chief of Privé refers to the somewhat pale gentleman in this duo.

Two madmen

Who had Evert then to the musical battle ground sent from Europe? “It is really a blunder of all those people – Cornald Maas and everyone responsible for it – that they did not come up with the idea to at least ask Son Mieux for that Eurovision Song Contest. Because this group plays down all festivals.”

Evert is a particular fan of their song Multicolor. “If this or a song similar to this had been on that Eurovision Song Contest, you could have gone into those rehearsals with two fingers in your nose. Instead of these two lunatics.”

Well, that’s out again.
