Ludwigsburg starts well, but quickly fades

On the other side, Sassari kept getting close to the basket and was there rebound superior – so Ludwigsburg’s lead dwindled to one point difference at the quarter break. In the second quarter, the hosts’ shooting rate from outside fell and Ludwigsburg lost the ball more often. The Italian first division team took advantage of this and went into the locker room with a 45:38 lead.
Giants fight back and still lose
After the break, the Ludwigsburg team acted more concentrated, Jayvon Graves (22 points) worked hard on offenserebound, but the hosts couldn’t turn the game around in the third half. At the beginning of the fourth quarter, Sassari extended its lead to a 14-point difference. Then Yorman Polas Bartolo (15 points) brought Ludwigsburg back with an 8-0 run. In the final phase, the basketball Bundesliga team reduced the lead to 79:82, but couldn’t get any closer.
