Mexican telecom company Megacable selects Verimatrix Streamkeeper and XTD solutions to further strengthen security

Megacable, the first provider of quadruple-play services (cable TV, broadband internet, landline and mobile) in Mexico, serves millions of subscribers using the media company’s apps on unmanaged devices. Megacable has been using Verimatrix’s IPTV and DVB hybrid security solutions since 2012. With the introduction of the anti-piracy solutions Watermarking and Edge Authenticator, the cooperation with Verimatrix is ​​now being expanded. The implementation of Streamkeeper zero-code injection technology in select Megacable set-top boxes is a first for both companies.
