The British band around singer Joe Mount announced in October 2021 that their seventh studio album SMALL WORLD will be released on February 18, 2022. In line with the announcement, the Indietronics collective also released their new single “It’s good to be back”, which they say is the lightest song on the entire record.

Metronomy’s current album METRONOMY FOREVER was released in 2019. ME editor Jochen Overbeck wrote about it: “Love from the magician: Joe Mount sends a handful of perfect pop songs from his pop retreat in the British countryside.” Most recently they released the EP “Posse EP Volume 1 “. Before that, an anniversary version of their THE ENGLISH RIVIERA album from 2011 was released.

In the current Musikexpress you will find an interview with Joe Mount in which he shows himself to be influenced by Big Thief and says, among other things: “It could be weird to still be playing party songs at 40.”

On January 26th we launched a digital space that we set up for bands, musicians, promoters, clubs and solo self-employed people in the live music business. There everyone can communicate their concert announcements, postponements and cancellations and find out about projects, jobs and special releases. Statements can also be posted and opinions discussed.

It’s a kind of digital “bulletin board” and is intended to help the music scene get through the Covid crisis relatively unscathed.

Send your information and comments (maximum 700 characters) for (free) publication, preferably with a photo, to: [email protected]. The BackToLive page can be found at musikexpress.de/backtolive.
