Mete Gazoz received the Sportive Fair Play Career Branch award in Antalya



According to the statement made by the Turkish Archery Federation, the award ceremony held at the 100th Anniversary Archery Facilities was attended by Turkish Archery Federation President Abdullah Topaloğlu and TOC Fair Play Commission Vice President Prof. Dr. Bilge Donuk also participated.


Donuk presented Mete Gazoz with the grand prize in the Sportive Fair Play Career Branch at the ceremony.


Mete Gazoz said that he was very happy to win such an award.


The national athlete thanked TOC, who deemed him worthy of this award, and said, “I aim to continue my achievements from now on.” used the phrase.


OLYMPIC CHAMPION NATIONAL ARCHER METE GAZOZ


Mete Gazoz achieved his first international success in archery by winning the silver medal with the men’s classic bow team in the stars category at the 2013 World Youth Archery Championship. Mete, who is the youngest athlete in Turkey by participating in the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, was selected as the best athlete of 2018 in men’s classic bow in the voting organized by the World Archery Federation.


Defeating Italian Mauro Nespoli 6-4 in the men’s classic bow individual gold medal match at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, Mete Gazoz won the first Olympic medal in Turkish archery history as a champion.
