Lars Ulrich has explained how he deals with the Metallica comments on social media. He has a certain strategy, he said in an interview.

“If you do decide to go into the comments sections, be prepared not to take any of it overly personally, at least for me. You have to distance yourself from it somehow. But I’d like to challenge anyone in a band who says they don’t look at comments,” the Metallica drummer told themetal hammer“. “I mean, I don’t wake up until four in the morning and scroll through every single page,” the 59-year-old clarifies. “But when you haven’t released music for five or six years and you unleash something like ‘Lux Æterna’ on the unsuspecting world, you want to see what the feedback is like.”

“Lux Æterna” was released in November last year and announced the album “72 Seasons”. In the meantime, a total of four songs from the long-player have been released with the single of the same name, “If Darkness Had a Son” and “Screaming Suicide”. This comes after an album break of almost 7 years on April 14th. With the associated “M72 World Tour”, the metal band is coming to Germany in May of this year and next. Tickets and dates for the shows in Hamburg and Munich are available here.
