Metal factory 247TailorSteel opens location in Hooglede

The factory in Hooglede is the first Belgian production facility and the fifth location of 247TailorSteel. Construction is expected to start in the second half of 2022.

“We want to become the leading manufacturer of cut-to-size metal sheets, tubes and bends in Europe. Our goal is to provide our customers with the ability to order online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. As market leader in the Netherlands, we are now taking an important step to strengthen our position in the Belgian market as well,” says CEO Carl Berlo.

Complete machine park

A factory of 17,000 m² will be built on a site of more than 30,000 m². About 250 people will be employed. A complete machine park will be built on the site, with twelve laser cutting machines, ten tube lasers and twelve press brakes.

The facility is expected to be fully operational in the fall of 2023.
