Lionel Messi, who received the Ballon d’Or award for the eighth time, made statements about the possibility of returning to Barcelona.
Stating that he loves Barcelona very much, the 36-year-old star football player said, “I felt very interesting when I left Barcelona. I would like to say goodbye in a different way. When I think of all the memories we had and shared, it was not a good separation.” he said.

Speaking about his return to the Catalan team, Messi said, “I think I deserve the chance to say goodbye to Barcelona. Barcelona is my home, I love this club very much.” said.

Referring to being awarded the Ballon d’Or award for the eighth time, the Argentinian star said, “I haven’t thought about the Ballon d’Or for a long time. Winning this award has never been a priority for me. Especially at this stage of my career, when I have achieved everything I can achieve, it is not a subject I think about too much.” he said.
Commenting on the possibility of receiving the Ballon d’Or award for the ninth time, Messi said, “I think this was my last time winning this award. I am happy to have achieved these successes and to be the only player to win 8 Ballon d’Or.” he said.

Answering the question whether he wanted to present the Ballon d’Or award to Paris Saint-Germain fans, Messi smiled and said, “I don’t think PSG fans want this.” he said.
